On a wooded slope
Raising a timber frame house
91-Marcoussis
It is originally a small house located on a sloping ground comprising a ground floor + attic fitted out on a semi-buried basement. The original desire of the customers was to create an extension to install the children's rooms.
It is therefore by creating a full floor instead of the converted attic, renovating the entire house, and creating a terrace on one level with the ground floor and overlooking the valley that s is translated the architectural project.
The result gives a project of simple shape, overhung by a flat green roof, the whole being dressed in a wooden facing with a vertical slatted way to receive climbing vegetation elements: Honeysuckle and Bignone.
From the inside, the spaces are freed up and have clarity and landscape views over the Marcoussis valley.
